Women’s Bodies
In May 2009, I uploaded a documentary to the internet (www.ilcorpodelledonne.net), made with Cesare Cantù and Marco Malfi Chindemi, that sought to raise awareness about the image of women presented on Italian TV. The object and title of the documentary: Women’s Bodies. It was the beginning of real change, and marked a great push towards women regaining a central position in Italian society, and recognition of their influence and presence on the social and cultural fabric of our society. A movement was created that drew on the documentary images, the book that followed, as well as a website that deals with key themes around the emancipation of children, girls and women.
